W przypadku dv3 nie ma już dylematów jeśli chodzi o klasyfikację, takich jak w przypadku dv2. Pavilion dv3 jest za duży na netbooka, ale do największych też nie należy ze swoimi 13,3″. Maszyna z napędem AMD dostępna będzie w wielu wersjach. Do wyboru macie procesory od 2GHz (Athlon X2 QL-62) do 2,4GHz (Turion X2 Ultra ZM-86), grafikę ATI Radeon HD 3200, do 8GB DDR2 RAMu i dyski twarde 160/250/320/400GB. Do tego WiFi / Bluetooth, dwuwarstwowa nagrywarka DVD, gigabit Ethernet, wejście ExpressCard i cała masa portów, włącznie z dwoma gniazdami USB 2.0, VGA, HDMI, eSATA i wejściem/wyjściem wideo. Na koniec sześcio- lub dziewięciokomorowy akumulatorek i opcjonalny czytnik linii papilarnych dla przezornych. Zainteresowani muszą liczyć się z wydaniem co najmniej $799 (2400 zł). Lenovo’s just announced their newest desktop - the IdeaCentre A600 - for all to wonder at. This puppy’s got a 21.5-inch (1920×1080) HD panel with a 16:9 aspect ratio, and the PC packs a choice of Intel Core 2 Duo CPUs, optional ATI Radeon graphics, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, and an up to 1TB hard drive. Optional to the system is a remote control which can also be used as a game controller, a VOIP handset to make and receive calls, and as an air mouse — that’s a lot of functions! The A600 is expected to roll out in March with a starting price of $999. Check out the full press release after the break.

Having already seen it run Crysis, we’ve been itching to know if Fujitsu Siemens’ AMILO Sa 3650 laptop and GraphicBooster had any other tricks up their sleeves. The Notebookcheck crew ran the dynamic duo through some tests and found it to be an impressive pairing, although the laptop itself takes a few jabs for shoddy case design, stiff touchpad keys and an underperforming AMD processor. By its lonesome, the integrated ATI Radeon HD 3200 GPU is better than the usual Intel GMA fare, but the GraphicBooster and an external monitor puts this machine nearly on par with a decent desktop rig. Without that external monitor, however, the GraphicBooster only provides marginal improvements to the laptop’s performance, due to limitations in the bandwidth connecting the add-on to the port. The second display is connected directly to the booster via DVI-I or HDMI. An asking price of 1300 Euros (US $1,810) seems a bit steep to us, but they say it’s worth the premium, calling it an “unprecedented fusion of performance and mobility.” Hit up the read link for a full analysis.

When you pack a 16-inch laptop so full of technology that it requires water cooling, well, you have to expect some compromises. First, the Fujitsu LifeBook N7010 is nearly 2-inches thick and weighs 7 and a half pounds. Then there’s the little limitation of that 1 hour battery life. In return for your suffering you do get a built-in Blu-ray drive, a digital television tuner, 1.3 megapixel webcam, HDMI output, 4x USB, Firewire, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, gigabit Ethernet, eSATA, ExpressCard/54, fingerprint scanning security, and multi-touch touchpad. Oh, and it run Vista atop a 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo P8600 processor, up to 4GB of memory, a 320GB disk, and 256MB of ATI Radeon HD 3470 graphics. As for that multi-function (media control, application launcher, etc.) 4-inch LCD touchscreen sporting 480 x 272 pixels, Akihabara News says it “seems responsive.” So there. Shipping December 26th in Japan.

P.S. The US version is shipping immediately (starting at $1,499) but without a TV tuner (naturally) or water cooling (odd).

Fujitsu Siemens już od jakiegoś czasu trąbi o swoim nowym laptopie AMILO Sa 3650 z dopalaczem graficznym AMILO GraphicBooster. Wygląda na to, że w końcu sprzęt wejdzie do sprzedaży. Przypominamy, że lapik ma 13 cali, wyposażony jest w procesor AMD (do wyboru Turion X2 lub Athlon X2), 4GB pamięci RAM oraz 250GB lub 320GB HDD. Dodatkowo karta graficzna ATI Radeon HD 3200. GraphicBooster współpracuje tylko z Sa 3650 i jest oparty na karcie ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3870. Dzięki temu dodatkowemu urządzeniu moce przerobowe waszego laptopa wzrosną o 470% (chodzi oczywiście o grafikę). Nie wiemy nic na temat ceny, ale można się spodziewać, że jeszcze w tym miesiącu pierwsze egzemplarze trafią do sklepów… gdzieś na świecie.

Eee Box zadebiutował zaledwie kilka miesięcy temu, a ASUS już wypuszcza na rynek kolejne wersje. Eee Boxy B204 i B206 są zaopatrzone w ten sam procesor (1,6GHz Intel Atom N270) i prezentują niezmieniony design, ale pojawia się tu grafika ATI Radeon HD 3400 z 1GB RAMu. Do tego twardy 160GB SATA II, czytnik kart pamięci, WiFi 802.11n, Windows XP, 10GB miejsca online w ramach Eee Storage, gigabitowy Ethernet, cztery porty USB (2.0), złącze DVI i gniazdo HDMI. Wbrew logice, B204 przewyższa B206 dzięki Bluetooth i wbudowanej baterii działającej jak zasilacz bezprzerwowy (na wypadek awarii prądu). Jak przystało na ASUS, nic nie wiadomo na temat ceny i daty pojawienia się w sklepach.

Fujitsu Siemens has been showing off its AMILO Sa 3650 and AMILO GraphicBooster add-on for a few months now, and we even recently saw the combo put to the Crysis test, but it looks like both are now finally, actually rolling out to the general public. In case you missed it, the laptop itself is a 13-inch, AMD-based number (your choice of Turion X2 or Athlon X2 processors), with an ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics card, up to 4GB of RAM, and either and either a 250GB or 320GB hard drive. The GraphicBooster add-on, which currently only works with the Sa 3650, is based around an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3870 graphics card, and promises a 470% increase in graphics performance over the laptop’s built-in graphics. No word on prices just yet, unfortunately but both the laptop and the GraphicBooster add-on will apparently be available at some “specialist retailers” this month.
